PRAIRIE GYPSIES-STRAWBERRY LAVENDER JAM

It was a good day the day we put these two tastes together. We can only describe the result as delicious. Actual lavender blossoms are cooked with strawberries for a truely unique combination which will make a hot biscuit or scone sing! We use it in catering as an excellent complement to brie cheese...many a happy bride have commissioned this to be the filling in their lemon wedding cakes. This is a thick ruby-red jam with big chunks of strawberries...you’ll be able to see, and taste, the small flecks of lavender blossoms.
