A compact, deciduous shrub. In early spring, it produces an abundance of pure white, buttercup shaped flowers, even before glossy, mid-green foliage emerges. By autumn, aromatic green fruits ripens to yellow. Attracts bees and other pollinators. Suitable for mass plantings, borders, or as a low hedge. Its dense, thorny branches not only deter unwanted animals but also provide shelter for birds.
