Azalea prunifolium #3

A late-blooming deciduous azalea prized for its fiery orange-red mid to late summer flowers. The leaves are shiny, dark green, and notably hairless, turning shades of yellow to plum in the fall. Bright tubular flowers are a significant nectar source for hummingbirds, butterflies (especially swallowtails), and bees. Use as a specimen in beds, borders and cottage gardens.
